Untitled Ribbons

Untitled Ribbons by Sol LeWitt uses a set of curved bands that bend and cross the sheet.

The drawing stays within a conceptual art practice, where the plan matters more than the hand. A fine art print keeps the paper matte so the grey tones do not shine under a lamp.

You can place it on a pale wall with a dark frame, or beside wooden furniture with a wood frame. On a stairwell landing, the soft bands read as quiet steps from bottom to top.
