Untitled for Arnold Newman — Fine Art

Untitled Sam Francis for Arnold Newman opens on a white field where thin blocks of blue and red spread and leave open gaps. The painted layers sit apart, so the eye moves over the empty parts first. Sam Francis built this kind of work with loose washes and a light touch.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.

It fits on the wall in a hallway beside a closed door. From the landing you catch the blue blocks first, and from the front room you notice the small gaps between the paint layers.
