Untitled SF66-006 — Fine Art

Untitled SF66-006 by Sam Francis sits on a wide open ground with broad colour spreads laid across it. The paint settles in thin layers that leave the white space around them open.

You see the larger shapes from the hallway, then the small edges of the brushwork when you stand near the wall. The metal hanger on the back fits a nail or a screw, so this fine art print goes up without a separate frame.

No frame is needed to mount it. It works above a dining table where the warm tones read well at dinner. From the doorway the big colour areas hold the wall, and from the table you notice the thin paint lines at the edges.
