Untitled SFP94-131 SFF 1801

Untitled SFP94-131 SFF 1801 opens on a spread of thin colour washes set over a wide light field. The paint runs in loose bands across the surface and leaves open gaps between them. Sam Francis worked with this kind of open colour spread in much of his later practice.

The object is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. It arrives assembled when the ready to hang option is used. The matte surface keeps the washed greys and soft edges from shining under a lamp.

It works on the landing wall beside a narrow window, where you notice the loose washes and the open gaps from the bottom step. The light from the glass settles into the thin bands and leaves the quiet areas unchanged.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
