Untitled SFP94-35 SFF 1711 — Fine Art

Untitled SFP94-35 SFF 1711 by Sam Francis shows a pale ground with broad colour washes laid in open layers. The brushwork moves in wide strokes, leaving space between the painted areas. Each mark presses across the surface with a steady hand.

The fine art print keeps those open washes readable on a matte sheet. A white frame edge sets a clean line around the image and gives the painted bands a clear stop. A dark wood finish adds weight to the soft edges and keeps the light washes from fading into the wall.

It works on a narrow bedroom wall near a reading lamp. From the bed you see the broad colour bands, and the small brush marks come into view when you stand close by the frame.
