Untitled SFP94-75 SFF 1749 opens on a pale sheet where thin colour washes spread in open layers. Sam Francis worked with acrylic and watercolour, laying washes of pigment that leave soft edges. The image stays light and open, with just enough paint to hold attention.

This fine art print uses a matte paper that does not shine under a lamp. You can choose a white or wood frame to give the picture a clear edge on the wall. A dark wood frame sets the pale wash apart, while a black frame pulls the colours inward.

It fits a narrow wall in a study between a desk and a bookshelf. From the door you see the open field first, then the thin washes as you step closer.
