Untitled Tokyo — Fine Art

Untitled Tokyo by Sam Francis shows a wide open field with colour washes spread across it. The paint sits in broad areas with thin edges. At a distance the shapes read as blocks of colour.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. Up close the thin edges show where the paint stopped. The paper is matte so the light areas stay soft and there is no shine under a lamp. A metal hanger is fitted to the back and goes straight onto a nail or screw.

You can put it up on the wall without a separate frame. It works well in a study above a desk. From the chair you see the broad colour areas, and the thin edges show when you lean in.
