Vase of Flowers — Fine Art

Vase of Flowers - 1949 shows a rounded glass vase holding a bundle of blooms on a thin sheet. The painted strokes around the petals stay quick and uneven. A few leaves sit at the lower edge, and the colours lean toward green and soft red. Aldemir Martins worked in this way, laying paint with fast, separate gestures.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The sheet comes ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need a frame.

It fits a narrow shelf above a kitchen sink, where the open glass and the painted leaves catch the morning light. From the table you see the whole vase shape, and from the counter the uneven strokes show their own pace.
