Vase of Gladiolas and Roses — Fine Art

Vase of Gladiolas and Roses shows flowers in a vase, with gladiolas standing tall and roses spread below them. Pierre-Auguste Renoir painted the blooms in loose bright colour, with petals built from short separate touches. The vase rests near the bottom of the picture, and the stems rise with a few leaves between them.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The frame finish can follow the room. A light frame on a dark wall lets the flower colours read clearly, while a dark frame on a pale wall keeps the blooms from fading into the background.

It works above a sideboard in a dining room, hung on the wall with a lamp to one side. From the table you see the tall gladiolas first, then the small rose petals near the vase.
