Vertical Plains Blue and Red by Frantisek Kupka — Fine Art

Vertical Plains Blue and Red by Frantisek Kupka holds broad horizontal bands of blue and red set upright. The brush passes land with steady weight, leaving edges that are not perfectly even. You can see where one band stops and the next begins, with the colours reading side by side rather than mixed.

This fine art print comes set in a frame with a back panel, so the surface stays flat and the colours do not shift when you tilt it. The matte finish keeps the blue and red from catching a glare, which suits the flat bands in this picture.

It fits a hallway wall between the coat hooks and the light switch. Coming down the hall you see the two colours first, and standing nearer you notice the slight changes in the brush passes.
