View of Collioure 1905 by Andre Derain — Fine Art

View of Collioure 1905 by Andre Derain shows a Mediterranean port with houses and water treated in broad colour strokes.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The picture leans on the Fauvist habit of placing vivid tones side by side rather than mixing them. A light frame works on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

The matte paper keeps the colour areas soft and avoids shine under a lamp. In a dining room on a side wall, the big colour shapes read from the table and the small marks appear when you pass by.
