About this work
View of the Seine the Pont Saint Michel 1904 shows the river bend and the bridge crossing it. The eye lands on the water line first, then moves up to the bridge arch. Open space sits on the far side. Henri Matisse used broad paint patches here, in the fauvist style he worked in during those years.
The fine art print comes ready to hang. The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A black frame edge keeps the water line sharp against the wall. White works when the picture sits in a bright corner. You can choose the finish that fits the space.
It fits a narrow hallway wall near the front door. From inside the hall you see the bridge arch clearly. The river line stays calm under the hall light.
