Walhalla 2016 — Fine Art

Walhalla 2016 pulls the old German hall into a rough painted field. Thick paint sits over cardboard and straw, with ash and burnt areas giving the ground a worn look. The surface feels heavy, built up layer by layer.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The print keeps that build-up without the weight of the original materials. You can hang it on a pale wall with a light frame, or use a dark frame on a pale wall to keep the tone down.

It fits above a low desk in a study, where the top edge lines up with a bookshelf and the ash tones sit beside a lamp on the desk.
