About this work
A figure stands on a city street in winter. Washington D.C.
December 1964 #10 I - 1964 shows a person in a coat walking past bare trees and a low building. The scene uses flat colour planes and careful outlines, the way Edward Corbett worked in his realist city scenes. The sheet is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel.
You can see the even tone across the painted ground. It hangs on a hallway wall where the afternoon light stays soft. The doorway catches the coat and the bare branch first.
