White Over Red — Fine Art

White Over Red - 1957 holds two broad painted bands stacked on the sheet. The upper band runs pale and the lower band runs a deep red. Mark Rothko built these colour fields with thin layers and blurred edges. The work belongs to colour field painting and post war American abstraction.
