About this work
White Provincetown - 1959 works with broad paint strokes laid down in pale layers. The surface holds cool white and grey tones with a few darker lines across the picture.
The approach echoes the abstract painting practice of Edward Corbett. A metal hanger is fitted to the back and goes straight onto a nail or screw, so the fine art print goes up without a separate frame.
It hangs well in a study above a desk lamp. You notice the broad strokes from the chair and the thin darker marks when you lean in.
