Windows and Palm Trees 1914 — Fine Art

Windows and Palm Trees 1914 opens on a row of narrow windows set against a warm ground. A few palm shapes rest near the top edge. The picture leaves a soft empty band on the right side.

A metal hanger is fitted to the back of this fine art piece, so it goes up on a nail without a separate frame. The surface is matte, which keeps the thin drawn marks readable and stops bright reflection on the wall.

On a stair landing wall, the windows draw the eye across the steps. From the landing you see the bare ground and the palm shapes together, and the narrow hanger stays out of view.
