Wink

Wink - 1996 shows a single curved shape set on a plain ground. The mark runs across the sheet in a soft band of tone that changes from one side to the other. The painting keeps the shape simple and lets the tone do the work.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need a separate frame. The matte paper takes the tone well, so the soft band stays even under indoor light.

On a kitchen wall above the sink, the curve reads from the door and the tone holds at a distance. You notice the edge of the shape and the plain ground beside it. Nothing else competes for attention there.
