About this work
Woman 1920 shows a single figure standing against an open ground, built from the rolling forms Thomas Hart Benton used in his paintings. The body holds a steady weight and the surface reads as a painted study rather than a flat outline.
The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. You get the front and back of the sheet as one piece. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, so it goes straight onto a nail or screw with no frame to order.
The matte paper keeps the painted tones even and stops glare under a lamp. It works on a wall in a stairwell where the steps bring you past the figure each time, and the standing shape reads plainly from the landing.
