About this work
A green field sits on the sheet with a narrow band of tone across it. Zapruder Green - 1968 works in the post war Italian painting style Mark Lancaster used through the late nineteen sixties. The paint is spread thin and wiped across the surface, leaving soft patches where the colour thins out.
This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper keeps the green tones soft and there is no shine under a lamp. The frame sits flush against the wall and the back panel keeps everything square.
It fits on a landing wall where the light comes from a side window. You see the steady band first, then the softer green field behind it. The frame keeps the sheet flat and the edge stays clean.
