Composition

Composition - 1967 shows a plain sheet with painted marks spread across the surface. The work follows the free abstract approach Bram van Velde used in his practice, with colour laid in a direct way on the sheet. The field stays open and the marks carry the attention.

The product is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The frame holds the sheet flat and the back panel gives the unit a finished side. When the ready to hang option is used, the piece arrives assembled and ready to place.

A corner of a study room gives the best view. From a chair near the desk you see the painted marks first, then the open field around them. The frame keeps the sheet steady on the wall.
