Even Tide by Eyvind Earle puts a calm shoreline in front of you. The eye stops on a level band of water and then lifts to a pale sky. The shapes stay simple and the space around them stays open.

This fine art print uses a matte paper that holds the soft greys without shine. The frame finish can follow the room, so a light frame sits on a dark wall or a wood frame sits beside wooden furniture.

It works on a hallway wall where the light stays even. From the bend in the hall you read the wide water band first, then the quiet sky above it.
