Fog Bound — Fine Art

Fog Bound by Eyvind Earle shows a flat stretch of land under a pale sky, with thin shapes standing out against the mist. The picture keeps the colours quiet and the shapes simple. Eyvind Earle often worked in clean outlines and flat colour.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The paper is matte, so the light greys stay soft and there is no shine under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall makes the fog shapes read more clearly from a distance.

On a hallway wall at eye level, the soft ground stays still while the thin shapes pick up the light from the side. You notice the pale bands first, then the darker lines near the bottom.
