Fools House

Fools House by Jasper Johns sets a painted room shape against a flat ground. The artist built the surface with thin layers and a steady hand, a method he kept returning to across decades. The image reads as a room seen straight on, with quieter tones than the brighter works nearby.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. This print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that slips straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need to buy a separate frame.

It suits a hallway wall where people pass through on the way to the front door. From that distance you see the painted room shape first, and the quieter tones hold the wall without taking over the space.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
