Landscape 1906 by Andre Derain — Fine Art

Landscape 1906 by Andre Derain sets a scene of trees and ground in a bold colour scheme. Thick brushstrokes cover the picture, with short strokes laid one beside the other. The paint holds a rough feel, as if the hand moved quickly over the canvas. The print carries the same rough marks and the same colour shifts.

The fine art print sits on a matte sheet that does not shine under a light. A light frame can go on a dark wall, or a dark frame on a pale wall. The finish follows the room you choose.

It fits a hallway with a single bare wall and a lamp low on the side. From the landing you see the broad colour blocks. Step closer and the short strokes come into view.
