Large Rectangles Large - 1965 shows separate bands of colour spread across the paper. The paint sits in layers with soft edges. Robert Goodnough worked in this way during the post war period. The shapes sit apart instead of blending together.

The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. You can put this fine art piece up on a wall without extra steps.

A hallway wall near the coat hooks gives you a clear view of the colour blocks from a short distance. The surface stays dull under the overhead bulb.
