Light Depth — Fine Art

Light Depth shows a field of colour laid in broad washes across the surface. Sam Gilliam built this kind of abstraction by pouring and staining pigment into the support, so the tone seems to move inward rather than sit on top. The composition leaves space for the eye to rest between the lighter and darker areas.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper holds the flat colour without shine, and the frame keeps the edges clean for a ready to hang object. You get the print already assembled when you choose that option.

On a kitchen wall near the sink, the broad colour band stays calm behind the moving clutter. From the table you see the even tone, and from the doorway the whole surface reads as one quiet field.
