Sunflowers — Fine Art

Sunflowers by Emil Nolde shows a cluster of flowers with yellow and orange petals set against a dark green background. The paint sits thick on the canvas and the brushstrokes move in quick, visible strokes. This expressionist painting uses strong colour to show the life of the flowers rather than a careful copy.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The matte paper keeps the yellow tones soft and stops glare when lamp light hits the surface.

On a dining room wall, the bright flowers stand out against the darker room tones. From the table you see the big yellow shapes first, and standing nearer you notice the short, rough brush marks in the petals.
