Sunrise — Fine Art

Sunrise by Eyvind Earle shows a horizon cut by clear sky bands and thin tree lines. The scene uses flat colour blocks with hard outlines, a method common in mid century illustration. The paper stays matte, so the soft sky tones do not shine under a lamp.
