Three Fields and a Mountain — Fine Art

Three Fields and a Mountain by Eyvind Earle sets three broad land bands against a tall mountain form. The eye moves from the flatter lower strip to the steeper peak, with open space above. The scene stays quiet and measured.

A fine art print on matte paper keeps the flat colour areas soft and the pale sky from shining under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall lets the mountain stand out, a dark frame on a pale wall does the reverse, or a wood frame sits beside wooden furniture.

In a dining room you see the three bands from the table, and the peak catches the ceiling light. You notice the simple outline along the ridge as you move past the doorway.
