Yellow by Al Held — Fine Art

Yellow by Al Held sets a few yellow planes against a dark field. The shapes hold near the top while the lower half stays open. The layout leaves a wide empty area below the colour blocks.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. Al Held worked in hard edge abstraction and built these forms with flat colour and sharp edges. The print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.

The flat yellow sits well against the dark ground because the paper does not add a shine. It works on a stairwell wall where the steps cut the view. From the landing you see the yellow blocks first, then the empty lower stretch.
